Sheryl Bleustein has been selected as a designer to participate in the 2016 Junior League of Miami Showhouse. This is a highly-renowned event will take place from April 7th to April 24th, Tuesday through Sunday from 11am-5pm daily at The Kampong, a beautiful and historic 11-acre garden in the Coconut Grove neighborhood of Miami, Florida.
The Kampong has been home to numerous notable residents, including the famed horticulturalist Dr. David Fairchild, who was responsible for introducing many exotic plants and crops into the United States, such as soybeans, pistachios and mangos.
The 2016 Junior League of Miami Showhouse is presented by Mercedes-Benz of Coral Gables and Cutler Bay, and is an event that will showcase the work of esteemed interior designers, architects and artists. Top designers will transform the Fairchild-Sweeney House, the Barbour Cottage, the Sausage Tree Cottage and the surrounding grounds, and will be able to showcase their creative work to thousands of people. This includes in-person visitors, as well as being considered in press coverage and promotional materials. The 2016 Junior League of Miami Showhouse also serves as a way for designers to expand their portfolios, and meet and network with one another.
Sheryl Bleustein is an accomplished and highly-regarded award-winning interior designer with experience designing all over the world, having completed projects in locations such as California, Florida, New York, as well as in countries such as Barcelona, Spain and Thailand, among others. She has also designed for many high-profile clients, including celebrities, sports figures, and prominent executives. Sheryl is a Preferred Designer at Design Center of the Americas, an ASID member, and brings with her many years of experience. Sheryl Bleustein is proud to be selected to design the Sausage Tree Cottage on the historic Kampong property—especially since all proceeds are going towards a noble cause.
General admission tickets are on sale for $35 and all proceeds from the 2016 Junior League of Miami Showhouse will go to the Junior League of Miami’s community projects, leadership training for its 1000 members, and for the women and children who benefit from the Junior League’s programming and scholarships.
The Junior League of Miami, Inc. is a volunteer organization of women whose mission is to empower Miami’s women, children and families and improve communities through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. The Junior League of Miami, Inc. has been working towards helping families at risk with projects involving homelessness, family violence, children’s and women’s health, early childhood education and foster care in Miami for the past 90 years.
