Our three bathrooms are equally beautiful and functional with gorgeous wallpapers. Every detail down to the towels, soap dispensers, tissue holders and other items are selected with the same care that make those details remarkable.

Our art work which we acquired from all over the world from our extensive lifelong travels are now hung and displayed so that each piece, including our various sculptures, flow and become eye arresting. All the pieces seem to be made for the spots Sheryl chooses to best show off their beauty.
We now have the home that we love and one that will make us proud to share with our family and friends.

One friend has visited and told Sheryl that it was simply “exquisite” in every room and every detail.

“Where to start when I think of Sheryl Bleustein, interior designer?

First and foremost is her talent and creativity. Hiring an interior designer is always a very difficult experience. So when you find one who has a fertile imagination and makes you suddenly aware that that empty space you are asking her to turn into your house will in fact be a place comfortable, considerate of your life-style and a place that you will awaken to every morning and marvel at how exquisite it is, then you know you have found the right person. She has designed such a place for me and my husband in our new apartment.

Then there is Sheryl’s respect and appreciation for what you are coming to the new place with. She was the only designer, and I repeat the only designer, whom we interviewed that did not want us to throw out all of our old furniture, furniture which over the years we have come to love, and I can safely say that she incorporated maybe 70% of what we already had. In other words, this is not a designer who thinks about the commission she will make with every piece of furniture she buys. It was so refreshing to meet a designer who admired the work that our previous designer did and was more that willing to use so much of his furniture choices in our new home.

This brings me to the next outstanding quality of Sheryl and that is her concern with your budget. Before we got started, she asked what we thought we were willing to invest in decorating the home and she was always concerned with us coming in budget which actually meant at times choosing other items which were less expensive than the ones we originally wanted but which worked just as well, if not better. And I can safely say that we are almost on target with our budget and if it does go slightly over it is because we have asked for other things which were not included in the original design.

If you are working with Sheryl, you are also working with the nicest and most professional people. Every vendor and worker that we have worked with was a total delight.

And here’s the best part, when we finally move in, Sheryl wants us to disappear because when the move takes place, she will unpack and set up the house for us so that when we finally open our front-door the apartment will be totally livable. Hard to believe but true.

Therefore, from start to finish, what could be a stressfully fraught experience, is a total joy.”

I had originally hired another firm to handle the project. I quickly discovered that those decorators did not understand the modern style I was looking for. I had even told them to look at Sheryl’s website, as that is exactly what I was looking for. I finally got wise and decided to go with Sheryl instead. We met with her once at the condo and she took it from there. One important thing to note is her excellent communication skills. The prior decorating firm principal that I met originally handed off my work to a very inexperienced person and that person would not return my calls or emails. Sheryl, on the other hand, immediately returns calls and emails. If you run into small problems, like you do with all projects, she keeps you informed and together you come out with a workable solution. I will use Sheryl for all future remodel engagements.
